Engineering Honors
The Light Sculpture Project is a semester-long, art-meets-engineering build where students design and fabricate their own unique light sculptures! Along the way they learn CAD, basic electronic circuits, soldering, laser cutting, and 3D printing, then custom program Arduinos to bring LED patterns to life. We finish by showcasing the sculptures at the Exploratorium in San Francisco, including a behind-the-scenes tour of their machine shop. It’s creative, hands-on, collaborative, and very fun!!!
